I want to be married to by boyfriend by next fall.
He asked me how long it would take to plan the wedding and I want to get a ballpark answer so he know what kind of window he has to propose to me.
This may sound crazy, but we have been together for five years and talk about our wedding all the time like he has already proposed. We are just waiting to get on our feet now that we have both finished school.
Depends on where and what kind of wedding you want. Certain venues will fill out a year in advance, or more. Vendors book well in advance, too. Dress orders can take up to 6 months to arrive, and you need time for alterations. But that doesnt mean you cant plan a wedding in 9 months– lots of people do. However, I think you should set your budget right now, then get a venue– those are the most important things.

It is different, but certainly not crazy! Average engagement time ia about 9 months. It is okay to go a little longer but not a lot shorter if you are planning a bigger wedding. If it is small a 6 month engagement may be ok. Give yourself enough time to enjoy planning your wedding and not feel really rushed. Good Luck, God Bless, and Congrats!

Average is about a year, but I planned mine in 8months. It can be done in shorter amount of time though. I would atleast allow yourself for 5-6months so you can focus on details and get the most for your money. A wedding is very stressful and you need plenty of time so you can detail the wedding how you always imagined it. Planning a wedding on a time crunch is a diaster waiting to happen

Depends on the details of your wedding but i would say 9 months to a year should give you enough time. Just get the important stuff takin care of first and the rest will be easier.

Well a year to 16 months is average. It depends on the area you live. If you live in a huge city like Memphis, Atlanta, New York City, Chicago, etc then you might need 16months to two years just to place a hold on your venue(s).
I live in a smaller area of about 40,000 ppl that’s pretty rural. So the venue choices are slim so I had to put a hold on my venue for 10months ahead of time. I’m at 7months and I’m just now starting to do real things. So I think a year is plenty of time but honestly it can be done for less. (parents got married in 6wks)
Good Luck

The traditional time to plan a wedding is 6-12 months. But technically, it can be done in as little as 1 month ( I planned a beautiful wedding in 1 month for less than $2000 for a friend). It can be done. Sounds like you have plenty of time.

6-12 months. Depending on how good at planning you are you might be able to do it in less but be prepared for a lot of hard work. Good luck
Actually http://onlineweddingadvice.com/ have a great free newsletter and in their first newsletter there is a 12 month check list. Get this as it will be a good guide on what you will need to consider when planning
Good luck
